A NEW EXPERIENCE
A LITTLE HISTORY
The Golden Hind was an English Galleon famous for its voyages around the world, traveling more than 140,000 miles. In 1580, and after having acquired many fortunes and lands belonging until then to the vast Spanish empire, Francis Drake, its captain, returned to England with a trip around the world to his credit. The first time a boat performed this feat. Cartagena de Indias was one of the ports of the Golden Hind, given its excellent location.
INSPIRATION
Our rum is an exciting journey through Colombia, beginning with the sugar cane from Valle del Cauca, continuing with the barrels made with virgin oak from the coffee zone and ending the journey in the beautiful city of Cartagena de Indias where it ends its aging process taking advantage of its humidity and excellent climate.
PROCESS
Aged for 12 years in ex-bourbon or ex-Jack Daniels oak barrels.
Product of the selection of the best sugarcane honeys from Valle del Cauca, which mixed with pure water makes a product of EXCELLENT quality.
To finish its process, we store it for almost 1 year in Colombian virgin oak barrels from the coffee zone, at the temperatures and humidity of the beautiful Cartagena de Indias, achieving a balance and different notes through fruits, coffee, caramel and tobacco.
